How to Clean/Replace Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
| 1) Locate the MAF on your throttle body and unplug the harness. Using a security torx bit (hole in the middle of a normal torx bit), remove the two screws holding the MAF down and pull it straight up. | ![]() |
| 2) Turn the plastic housing until you see the actual sensor. Never touch this wire with anything. | ![]() |
| 3) (Optional) Using MAF cleaner, you want to liberally spray the wire inside the plastic housing. Wait a minute or two for the cleaning solution to evaporate. | ![]() |
| 4) Drop the sensor back into the throttle body. Tighten down the two torx screws and plug the harness back in | ![]() |
