Body work UPDATED 07/19/09

Well i have started doing body work on my GTX.I'm just not sure what i want to do. i have a feeling i will need fender flares for my 9" wide bad boys. plus im going to be using Intense coil overs. i want it to stick out from the crowd of most GTX's. not that there super popular. i just want something to stick out.if any body has any suggestions im free for input.

Find a place that'll rent you a tool for rolling, or if you feel brave, use a wooden bat.

i have already rolled the fenders. and it was still close with my regal wheels on there. its pretty much tucking in the rear

I have 9'' wide saleens, and i remember you telling me your getting those also so you'll be just fine.

well i got the front end of the car off. the bumper fenders hood ect. its not realy that bad as far as rot. im currently saing the side molding. what a magical adventure this is. will post some new pics very soon

hear are some pics of the GTX build. its alot of work and im not going to rush thru it. so here you go. please keep in mind this will not be a daily driver, just a week end cruiser, or pretty much when i feel like driving it car.

i started with shaving the side molding. yes it was alot more work then i thought it was going to be

















there all welded up duraglassed. sorry i didnt take pics of the welding action

next was shaving the trunk lock key hole







welded shut, and duraglassed. no pics. again sorry i was tired of taking pics

next i started to shave the bumper grooves





grooves were sanded 80 grit on a die grinder





for filler i used Evercoat Maxim medium filler. looks like tar. same consistency of tar. very messy shit

stock silver mist with my touch of pearls. the roof will be triple black, and will look like glass. i still need to lower it alot. coilovers should be hear soon
